I believe strongly that most artists need to work within a community of artists to best hone their skills. The discussing, borrowing, colaborating, and working on ideas and theories together with other creative people, matures and molds the artist in ways he cannot achieve on his own. Knowledge is acumulative and always changing. We each hold only such a small portion of what is out there that we need to draw from each others’ life experiences and impressions if we want to shape our work into something meaningful to others.
