Artists Selected for First Annual Juried Member Exhibition


The Arts & Cultural Council for Greater Rochester will be launching its first juried artist member exhibition on July 7th .




The recurring event is designed to showcase the high–quality work of the Council’s artist members and will draw from all visual art disciplines. Council President and CEO Sarah Lentini said, “This is one of several initiatives we’ve recently developed in response to community input gathered as part of our new Regional Cultural Strategy. On an ongoing basis, this exhibition will provide additional exposure and recognition for artists and their work.”

The exhibition jurors include Dr. Peter Giopulos, professor emeritus, the College of Fine and Applied Arts, Rochester Institute of Technology; Louis Grachos, executive director, Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo; and Leonard Urso, distinguished professor, the College of Imaging Arts and Sciences, Rochester Institute of Technology. Rick Muto, artist and president of the New York Figure Study Guild, is chairing the installation of the exhibit.

The exhibition will be open July 7th through September 2nd.
