To provide additional visibility and exposure for its artist members, the Arts & Cultural Council for Greater Rochester presents its second annual member exhibition. Jurors’ awards, including “Best in Show” and “Awards of Excellence,” will be presented at the opening reception on Friday, August 3. In total, 204 submissions from 73 member artists were received, making this a highly competitive process. The exhibition jurors selected 20 pieces from the following 19 artists:

Reaching statewide, from Buffalo to New York City, this year’s artwork was juried by the following distinguished panelists:
· Louis Grachos, Director, Albright-Knox Art Gallery – Buffalo
· Steven Kern, Executive Director, Everson Museum of Art – Syracuse
· Stephan Stoyanov, Founder, Stephan Stoyanov Gallery – New York City

Rick Muto, President and Artist/Designer of Decorative Arts Studio, is serving as the exhibition’s Installation Chair.

 JGK Galleries invites Western New York artists to submit their work for participation in the Art-Roc-NY Showcase 2013. JGK Galleries will select the participating artists from those who complete the submission procedure.
Noted jurors will select One Grand Prize winner who will receive:

• Cash award
• Contract with JGK Galleries & Solo Exhibit
• Introduction to other galleries

The Grand Prize winner will be announced at the closing reception of Art-Roc-NY Showcase 2013 on February 28, 2013.
